25ναίοις τοῖς μεγάλοις ἀπὸ χιλίων δραχμῶν
26ἑκάτερ[ο]ν· [ποιε]ῖσθαι δὲ τοὺς στεφάνους το–
27ὺς ἀθλοθέ[τας] τῶι προτέρωι ἔτει Παναθηνα–
28ίων τῶν μεγ[άλ]ων κατὰ τὸ ψήφισμα τοῦ δήμου
29τὸ πρότερον ἐψηφισμένον Λεύκωνι καὶ ἀνα–
30γορεύειν, ὅτι «στεφανοῖ ὁ δῆμος ὁ Ἀθηναίων
31Σπάρτοκον καὶ Παιρισάδην τοὺς Λεύκωνος
32παῖδας ἀρετῆς καὶ εὐνοίας ἕνεκα τῆς εἰς τ–
33ὸν δῆμον τὸν Ἀθηναίων»· ἐπειδὴ δὲ τοὺς στεφ–
34άνους ἀνατιθέασι τῆι Ἀθηνᾶι τῆι Πολιάδι

9Worüber Spartokos und Pairisades geschrieben haben
10und die von ihnen gekommenen Gesandten
11vermelden, dass man ihnen antworte: dass das Volk
12der Athener Spartokos und Pairisades
13belobigt, weil sie treffliche Männer sind und
14dem Volk der Athener ankündigen, sorgen
15zu wollen für die Ausfuhr des Getreides, so wie
16ihr Vater dafür Sorge trug, und bereitwillig
17bereitzustellen, wessen das Volk bedarf; und dass
18ihnen die Gesandten vermelden, dass es, wenn sie dies
19tun, ihnen an nichts fehlen wird von seiten des Volkes
20der Athener; und, da sie dieselben Privilegien geben
21den Athenern, die schon Satyros und Leukon
22gegeben haben, dass auch Spartokos und Pairisades die
23Privilegien erhalten, die das Volk Satyros und Leukon verliehen hat;
24und dass man sie bekränze mit goldenem Kranz an den
25Großen Panathenäen im Wert von tausend Drachmen,
26jeden von ihnen; dass die Kränze herstellen lassen
27die Athlotheten im Jahr vor den Großen
28Panathenäen gemäß dem Volksbeschluß,
29der früher beschlossen worden ist für Leukon; und
30dass man verkünde: „Das Volk der Athener
31bekränzt Spartokos und Pairisades, die Söhne des Leukon,
32wegen ihrer Leistung und ihres Wohlwollens gegenüber
33dem Volk der Athener“; und dass, wenn sie die
34Kränze der Athene Polias weihen,
35die Athlotheten im Tempel die
36Kränze weihen mit der Aufschrift: „Spartokos
37und Pairisades, die Söhne des Leukon, haben (sie)
38geweiht der Athena, bekränzt vom Volk
39der Athener“; dass das Geld den
40Athlotheten für die Kränze gebe der
41Schatzmeister des Volkes aus den für Volksbeschlüsse
42bestimmten Fonds; dass vorerst
43auszahlen die Apodektai das Geld für die Kränze
44aus dem Militär-Fonds; dass den
45Beschluss aufzeichne der Sekretär des
46Rates auf einer Marmorstele und aufstelle nahe
47bei der (Stele) für Satyros und Leukon; dass für die
48Aufzeichnung der Schatzmeister des Volkes dreißig
49Drachmen auszahle; dass man belobige die Gesandten
50Sosis und Theodosios, weil sie sich derjenigen annehmen,
51die aus Athen zum Bosporos kommen, und
52sie zum Festbankett lade ins Prytaneion
53für morgen; und dass hinsichtlich des Geldes,
54das den Söhnen des Leukon geschuldet wird, damit
55sie es zurückerhalten, darüber verhandeln lassen die Vorsitzenden,
56die ausgelost werden zum Vorsitz im Volk am
57achtzehnten (des Monats), als erstes nach den religiösen Angelegenheiten, damit
58sie nach Erhalt des Geldes nichts vorzuwerfen haben dem Volk
59der Athener; dass man ihnen gebe die Schiffsbemannung,
60um die Spartokos und Pairisades gebeten haben;
61dass die Gesandten auflisten die Namen der
62Schiffsbesatzung, die zur Verfügung gestellt wird, beim Sekretär des
63Rates; und dass die aufgelistete (Besatzung) in der
64Pflicht stehe, Gutes zu tun nach Kräften
65für die Söhne des Leukon.

67wie Androtion (beantragt hat); dass man bekränze auch Apol-

9concerning what Spartokos and Pairisades have written in their letter
10and what the envoys who have come from them
11report, to reply to them that the Athenian
12People praises Spartokos and Pairisades
13because they are good men and undertake
14for the Athenian People to look after
15the export of grain, as their
16father did, and to perform enthusiastically whatever
17service the People may require; and the envoys
18shall report to them that if they do these things
19there is nothing that they will fail to obtain from
20the Athenian People; and since they make the same grants
21to the Athenians as Satyros and Leukon made,
22the grants which the People made
23to Satyros and Leukon shall apply to Spartokos and Pairisades;
24and to crown each of them with a gold crown
25at every Great Panathenaia, of a thousand drachmas;
26and the Games-masters shall have the crowns
27made in the year before the Great
28Panathenaia, in accordance with the decree of the People
29voted previously for Leukon; and to announce
30that the Athenian People crowns
31Spartokos and Pairisades, the children of
32Leukon, for their excellence and good will towards the
33Athenian People; and since they are dedicating
34the crowns to Athena Polias,
35the Games-masters shall dedicate
36the crowns in the temple, having inscribed on them: “Spartokos
37and Pairisades, children of Leukon, dedicated
38to Athena having been crowned by the Athenian
39People”; and the treasurer of the People
40shall give to the Games-masters the money
41for the crowns from the fund allocated
42to the People for expenditure on decrees; but for now it shall be
43for the finance officers to hand over the money for the crowns
44from the military fund; and
45the secretary of the Council shall inscribe this decree
46on a stone stele and stand it near
47the one for Satyros and Leukon; and
48the treasurer of the People shall give thirty
49drachmas for inscribing it; and to praise the envoys,
50Sosis and Theodosios, because they take care of those
51who visit the Bosporos from Athens; and
52invite them to hospitality in the city hall
53tomorrow; and concerning the money which is
54owed to the children of Leukon, in order that
55they may recover it, the presiding committee
56allotted to preside in the People
57on the eighteenth shall put the matter on the agenda first after the religious business, so that
58they may recover the money and not have grounds for complaint against the
59Athenian People; and to give the ships’ officers
60that Spartokos and Pairisades ask for;
61and the envoys shall give a list of the names of the
62officers whom they are going to take to the secretary
63of the Council; and it shall be the duty of those listed
64to do all in their power
65for the children of Leukon.
